Over a weekend in September each year several Club members work in conjunction with Bendigo South Rotary to improve the surroundings at Rotary District 9800's Camp Getaway at Axedale, Victoria. Wood is cut up and garden beds surrounding the dormitories tidied to comply with fire safety. Along with all the hard work, there are lots of opportunities to socialize and enjoy the glorious fresh air and sunny weather. Our thanks go to everyone who helps us at these productive working bees.

On Sunday 29th June, under the expert direction of Past President Arnold Vandenham, we organized the collectors at the Peter Mac Cup. We have served the Peter Mac Cancer Foundation in this capacity this for 23 years. This is a cash collection by hundreds of volunteers at the clash between Collingwood and Carlton. Many of the volunteers are from HMS Cerberus. The winning  football team receives the perpetual cup ( pictured below).
