The physical Moonee Valley Art Show has closed but the Moonee Valley Art Show continues online until 31st May 2023. This will provide a great opportunity for further sales of the fantastic artworks which didn't sell over the weekend of 19th -21st May. Imagine budding young artist Kezia's surprise if her Blue Cat sold online. Online sales https://mooneevalleyartshow.com.au/virtual-art-show/ We would appreciate continued support to the artists and to the fantastic Rotary Projects of Rotary Club of Essendon and Keilor East Rotary Club Inc.

On Monday 27th June we held a wonderful President Changeover from Yvonne Osborn to Deb Sloggett. It was held at the beautifully renovated Premiers Room at Windy Hill in Essendon. After a long search, we are celebrating having a wonderful new Meeting Venue for Keilor East Rotary. It is "The Legends Room" at Windy Hill. We meet on Mondays, weekly, just after 6.00pm in the Bistro for a meal, which we order from the menu, before heading upstairs (there is a lift) for our 7pm meeting. We have great Guest Speakers, undertake a variety of projects locally and overseas and we warmly welcome new members.
Finally, we were able to hold our President Changeover celebration with ninety attendees at the Starlight Room, Taylors Lakes Hotel on Monday 29th November 2021. President 2020-2021,Michael Donnelly, passed the chains of office to President 2021-2022, Yvonne Osborn. There were two Paul Harris Fellows presented and two Royce Abbey Award recipients. Five new members finally received their badges and longtime member David Barnes was awarded Honorary Membership. Band, D'n'A, provided musical entertainment and six past members of Keilor East Rotary and Brimbank Central Rotary were honoured with the lighting of Memorial Candles.
We are proud to be working in partnership with a wonderful NGO, CRST (Cambodia Rural Students Trust), to provide clean drinking water in four schools in Cambodia. Tax deductible Donations can be made at https://directory.rawcs.com.au/94-2020-21
On Monday 1st February we held our first meeting for 2021 at our traditional venue, Keilor East RSL. The delicious meals and spaced seating allowed us to enjoy a safe catch up with our Rotary family. President Nominee, Deb Sloggett, told us of her work with Western Health as a Covid tester and supervisor at the busy Showgrounds facility. President Michael Donnelly congratulated Club Members for staying the course during the challenging past year. On Monday 24th June we held our President Changeover at Cross Keys Hotel. President Ginny Billson passed the chains of office to our youngest Member, Mark Tognon, who will be Club President for the 2019-2020 Rotary Year. We congratulate both Ginny and Mark for their hard work and commitment to the Rotary ideal of Service Above Self. As we all commit to making Keilor East Rotary even stronger, we will work towards highlighting this year's Rotary International theme - Rotary Connects the World.🌏 |
